THE NATURAL SECRET TO LOOKING YOUR BEST

Acupuncture facial rejuvenation is a 5000-year-old Chinese secret to looking and feeling your best.  It is also known as the natural alternative to botox. More and more women and men are looking for a natural way to give their face a newer and fresher look. What I love about this treatment so much is most people come in with the intention to work on something specific on their face but end up balancing other areas of their health. Perhaps they want to reduce the look of fine lines,  brighten the area under the eyes or tighten their pores and of course acupuncture facial rejuvenation can do these things and more but the exciting part is that the face is a reflection of what is going in the rest of the body. Not only will the facial imbalances be addressed but extra benefit is that the imbalances of the rest of the body will also be cared for.

Benefits include:

  • Helps eliminate fine lines and wrinkles and softens deeper lines

  • Improves muscle tone

  • Improves collagen production

  • Increases local lymph and blood circulation

  • Removes puffiness and any edema on the face

  • Improves facial colour – rosier glow and brighter complexion

  • Improves acne

  • Tightens pores

  • Reduces the tendency to sagging skin

  • Tightens the neck

  • Lifts drooping eyelids

What does an acupuncture facial rejuvenation treatment look like? The best part is every facial rejuvenation treatment is unique because a full health assessment is taken before we get started. Using your information we design a treatment that is specific to your needs and addresses both the constitutional and facial diagnosis. Along with fine needles inserted into the body and face I have created a special blend of essential oils infused into argan oil. After lightly massaging the oil into the face I like to either use a Jade roller to bring the yin energy up towards the face or do a treatment called Gua Sha. Also using a jade tool Gua Sha uses a light scraping action along the skin. This scraping technique stimulates the layers of the skin on the face. Any stagnant lymph is moved and cleared out and toxins are released from the skin. This leaves the face looking more rested and with a beautiful glow and clear complexion.

How often should someone come in for treatments is a common question I get asked. This answer varies from person to person and is determined based on a number of different factors including the amount of stress in a person’s life and how long it has persisted for, their age, diet, lifestyle, genetics, hormonal balance, sleep patterns and even digestion. Once I have done an initial treatment it will be easier to answer this question and make a plan for future treatments.
